Energy Tincture
$33
Our Energy tincture combines adaptogens, restorative herbs, and naturally stimulating herbs to produce a blend that is invigorating without being depleting. Our Energy blend restores the body’s natural energy levels, provides relief for overworked bodies, and an energy boost that can help the body through vigorous or lengthy physical tasks — great for athletes, people who work on set or otherwise have to be on their feet for long periods of time.
Ingredients:
Eleuthero, Ashwagandha, Muira Pauma, Fo-Ti Root, Cane Alcohol
*All ingredients are organic and/or wild-harvested
(Note: depending on your level of sensitivity, this blend may be too stimulating to take in the evening or even the afternoon; best taken regularly in the morning before breakfast. Additionally, Ashwagandha can interfere with digoxin medications and will increase the effects of anxiety medications and sedatives. Muira Puama, as with many stimulants, can slightly raise blood pressure, and in high doses it can cause insomnia).
Ashwagandha
One of the most popular adaptogens available today, Ashwagandha is an all-around strengthening tonic, used to support tired and overworked bodies. Ashwagandha holds a position of importance in Ayurvedic medicine equivalent to that of ginseng in China; it’s been used for thousands of years to strengthen the immune system after an illness and acts mainly on the reproductive and nervous systems, and it is also effectively used to treat nervous exhaustion, debility, insomnia, impotence, infertility, and multiple sclerosis. It is a general stress reliever, having anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, and anti-inflammatory compounds. With Ashwagandha, the list goes on, it being one of the most provenly effective adaptogenic herbs.
Eleuthero
An adaptogen used traditionally in Chinese, Korean, and Russian herbalism, Eleuthero is known for increasing stamina and promoting overall health. It is the first “adaptogen,” in that the term itself was coined by Soviet scientists in the 1960s describing Eleuthero’s functions as an herb able to serve many different purposes depending on the body’s needs. It is a member of the ginseng family and sometimes considered “Siberian ginseng.” Eleuthero is used to invigorate qi, strengthen and nourish the spleen and kidney, and to balance vital energy. In China it has been historically used to support general health and improve endurance.
He Shou Wu / Fo-Ti
A traditional Chinese herb, Fo-Ti is best known as a kidney tonic, but it also supports the adrenal glands and has a long history of use for longevity, blood building, beauty, and general rejuvenation. It is a powerful antioxidant and supports blood flow and energy levels; in TCM it is known to nourish the heart and calm the spirit by unblocking the energy channels through the body, allowing pathogenic influences, often the causes of pain and fatigue, to leave the body. Fo-Ti is a deeply restorative herb and replenishes Yin Jing, assisting with deep rejuvenation resulting from exhaustion and fatigue.
Muira Puama
Known as potency wood, Muira Puama is a small tree that grows across the Amazonian river basin and has a long history of use as an energy tonic, general health improver, and remedy for impotence. It also fortifies and stimulates the nervous system, which makes it helpful for nervous disorders like depression, stress, exhaustion, neuralgia, and trauma, and also assists with nerve pain. Muira Puama is used widely across the world, from Germany and Britain to the US and, of course, it’s native Brazil.
