These Tibetan Black Pills are protective talismans obtained from Dr. Dawa Ridak, a Tibetan doctor whose uncle was the personal physician to the Dali Lama.

Inside each necklace is a mixture of holy substances that disperse in the air and in the sun’s rays, protecting the air around the person wearing it. The pills are made of antidotal substances capable of eliminating air-borne pathogens so that, by wearing this, a person can avoid getting sick.

These amulets are made in Tibet as prophesied in the Final Tantra of Tibetan Medicine Subject. It can also be kept in the pocket and sniffed every once in a while, in particular when in crowded places.

Do not eat it, do not let your animal eat it, and if it becomes unwrapped, dispose of it quickly. We have a very limited number of these, and are not always able to restock quickly!

Dr. Dawa is a traditional Tibetan Doctor, born in Lhoka. He learned basic medicine from his late uncle Professor Samten, a renowned professor at Lhasa Tibetan Medicine College, and Dr. Lobsang Wangyal, former Physician of H.H. Dalai Lama. After being exiled from Tibet, he studied in the Tibetan Medical and Astrological College, Men-Tsee-Khang College, Dharamshala, India and received Menrampa (Doctor of Tibetan Medicine). He is a pioneer in bringing the Tibetan medical pharmacopeia in the west and served as advisor to the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art’s 10th-year anniversary exhibition on Tibetan medicine.
